Patrick O'Donovan New Minister for Higher Education
Patrick O'Donovan is the New Minister for the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science.
Appointed in light of recent Cabinet shuffle that saw the previous minister Simon Harris take on the role of Taoiseach.
Previously the Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works, Patrick has been given the Higher Education brief, Harris’s old Department.
Hailing from Limerick, where ministerial representation has been absent for seven years, Patrick O'Donovan brings a fresh perspective and a wealth of experience to his new position. His tenure as Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works has undoubtedly equipped him with the acumen and leadership skills necessary to navigate the intricate landscape of higher education and research.
We eagerly anticipate collaborating with Minister O'Donovan as we work towards our shared vision of Global Citizen 2030.
His insights and guidance will be invaluable as we endeavor to foster innovation and promote higher education accessibility on a global level.
