Liath Gleeson

Liath completed her BA in European Studies, graduating with a first-class honours degree from Trinity College Dublin in June of this year. She spent her third year abroad, studying at the Maxim Gorky Literary Institute in central Moscow, and in her fourth year, she completed a portfolio of original literary translations from Russian, including prose, poetry and drama from authors such as Mikhail Bulgakov, Vladimir Mayakovsky, and Anton Chekhov. She is also a keen singer, and has received scholarships from Trinity College Chapel Choir and St. Patrick’s Cathedral Choir. In September of this year she sang in the award-winning production Tardigrade as part of the 2014 Tiger Dublin Fringe Festival. She is currently enrolled in the MPhil in Literary Translation at TCD.
