Ciaran puts his love for history down, at least in part, to the fact that his father studied History and then Archaeology as a mature student at Queen’s University Belfast while he was in primary school. Following that, while he was in secondary school, Ciaran also developed an interest in politics and current affairs. Therefore, when UCAS decisions had to be made, History and Politics at his father’s alma mater seemed like the obvious option. It was while studying there, that he not only improved his historical knowledge but also deepened his interpretation of key political concepts. The result: in July 2014, he was awarded a first class honours degree.
