Megan Falconer

Megan is a Dundee based contemporary Silversmith, Jeweller and Maker and has a passion for material exploration, through a range of materials including, wood, silver, bronze and found objects. Megan’s degree show collection focuses on taking inspiration from the landscape to produce her own silversmithing tools. This allows her to create completely unique pieces of silverware which cannot be replicated.
Megan won a number of awards for both her final degree collection and dissertation, including Best Dissertation in DJCAD 2015, F & A Bradshaw Award – travel bursary for a placement abroad and Graduate Membership Award from The Contemporary British Silversmiths. Megan was also shortlisted for New Designer of the Year at New Designers in London and for Outstanding Student Award from the Incorporation of Goldsmiths. Megan’s collection was also featured in The Contemporary Crafts Magazine (Crafts Council).
