Matthew Malone is an Irish actor and recent graduate of Drama Studies & English Literature at Trinity College Dublin. He majored in Drama with a concentration in acting and is currently training in acting at the Lir Academy, Dublin. His interests include practical theatre work, performance, film, and theatre criticism. Matthew grew up in Washington, D.C, attending Sidwell Friends School where he first became interested in theatre. During his time in the United States Matthew was a Theatre Arts Acting participant at the National High School Institute, Northwestern University. As a Drama and English student at Trinity he was an active member of DU Players, performing in multiple productions, and in 2013 received the Irish Student Drama award for Best Supporting Actor. Acting credits include work with Rough Magic Theatre Company, Sugarglass Theatre, the Dublin Fringe and Theatre Festivals, and in multiple productions at the Samuel Beckett Theatre. Past credits include ‘ETHICA: Four shorts by Samuel Beckett’ (TCD Drama | Sugarglass Theatre) which toured to Sofia, Bulgaria, Happy Days Enniskillen International Beckett Festival (UK), and Áras an Uachtaráin as part of World Human Rights Day 2013.
