Louise Bhandal

What have you been up to since winning the Undergraduate Awards?
I have been travelling on a working holiday in Australia since winning the Undergraduate Awards but plan to return to Ireland soon to do a Masters in psychology.

What did winning the Undergraduate Awards mean to you?
Winning the Undergraduate Awards gave me increased confidence in my essay writing abilities as well as providing me with a good stepping stone towards the first step in my psychology career.

What tips do you have for students entering the Undergraduate Awards?
I would suggest entering a piece of work that you were both enthusiastic about writing and spent a long time drafting and re-drafting. Always have confidence in your own work and don’t be afraid to think outside the box as well as using up-to-date research to form your arguments.
