Jennifer Looi is in her final year of study in the BEd Secondary Math programme at McGill University. She is a Dean’s List nominee, and was also nominated for the Phyllis Shapiro Award for Excellence in Student Teaching in 2012. Her professional experience includes a recurring role as an administrative assistant at Bronte College. Over the past three summers, she has developed policies for human resources, determined ways to streamline costs, and headed research on a number of school investments and services, including the proposal and preparation for a new daycare.
In her spare time, Jennifer serves as the Media Director for the McGill chapter of the China Care Foundation, as well as the coordinator for its sister project, a playgroup directed towards children adopted from China who otherwise have little opportunity to learn about their heritage and meet other children like them.
