Jack Hogan, from Dublin, is currently in the final year of his degree in Geography and Sociology in Trinity College Dublin. His research interests are mainly in Human and Political Geography (focusing on population studies, migration, development and conflict) as well as the sociological study of race, ethnicity, identity and popular culture. For his final year, he intends to write a dissertation on the impact of social media outlets on the experiences of social exclusion of third-level students. He then hopes to pursue a Master’s degree in development studies.
Jack studied at the University of Copenhagen as part of the Erasmus exchange programme last year. His interests outside academia include music, sport and travel.
