Grace McKenna

Grace is a final year medical student at QUB with an interest in pursuing a career in Clinical Oncology. While undertaking her Bachelors in Medical Science, she worked with the translational medicine team investigating potential biomarkers in ovarian cancer; a team encompassing both scientists and clinicians aimed at bringing research from bench to bedside. In her pursuit of Oncology she has also attended an ECCO Oncology course for Medical Students in Antwerp, Belgium and the 10th ESOESMO Oncology course for Medical Students in Ioannina, Greece. Outside of her studies, she is a keen pianist, has swam competitively, and achieved her first Dan black belt in Ju-Jitsu. Her overall aspiration is to become a healthcare professional and in August 2015 she will commence as a junior doctor.
