Aaron was awarded a STEM Scholarship from Andor Technology PLC to fund his undergraduate degree, and went on to get a first-class honours MSci degree in Physics with Astrophysics from QUB. He was also awarded the QUB John Geddis Medal and the Institute of Physics Ireland Earnshaw Medal in 2014. In 2009 Aaron became Northern Ireland’s fastest Rubik’s cube solver with a time of 19.88 seconds. His interests include playing chess, strategy-based computer games and solving logic puzzles. Aside from these, he is also interested in other languages and cultures, having taken extra language modules during his undergraduate degree, and enjoys being able to put these skills to good use.
