The Undergraduate Awards aims to encourage a culture of excellence at an undergraduate level by supporting and celebrating the ideas of great, young minds.
Open to final and penultimate year undergraduate students across the world, entrants are invited to submit essays/projects completed as part of their coursework that have received at least a high 2.1/A grade, and present fresh ideas or new arguments.
Assessed by an international network of academics, UA operates two academic awards programmes: one throughout all third level institutions on the island of Ireland, and a second across all universities around the world, in it’s quest to identify and build a community of the world’s brightest students.
Each year, the winners and highly commended entrants are invited to Dublin to attend the UA Summit – a “Davos for students”. The UA Summit is a unique 3-day conference during which top students from around the world take part in discussions, workshops and events all geared towards enhancing their personal development, encouraging responsible leadership and equipping them with the knowledge they need to further themselves, their ideas and research.
